Vacation Time: Boats and Bancas - 4

Passengers would rush from one side to the other especially if we pass along people who rode boats or bancas.

I greatly admire the fishermen who explore the vastness of the sea to earn their living. And even to the point of doing their fishing expeditions to where big ships sail just to increase their catch.

Actually, fishermen riding small bancas don't mind likewise on how far they were from the nearest coast line. Well, the weather was good and it pose no threat to their safety. Anyway, they are experienced swimmer and the sea is already part of their life.

I asked Jeff if it would be okay for him to ride a banca this part of the sea. Little did I know that the sea makes him uncomfortable. He can swim a little but not that good. And he is not confident enough to survive the waters in case something will go wrong. Knock on wood.

And he is not alone. Hehe

Vacation Time: Bird Watching - 3

Something did show up that morning, not those big fishes but a pair of birds.

Passengers were delighted about this pair that flew along with the ship and diving from time to time to catch small fishes that surface on the water.

No one can tell about the name of these birds and their wings were really powerful because they were with us for quite a long time.

Vacation Time: Sunrise by the Sea - 2

The trip overnight was a peaceful one. Some bumpy ride experience along the way was tolerable and all throughout the trip that night was totally calm.

It is my habit to wake up early in the morning whenever I am on a trip and this one was no exception. At dawn break, I was already up. I would always love to experience sunrise and feel the rays of the morning sun touching my face. It is always a delightful experience which I ignore the moment I am preoccupied with work.

Anyway, I was dismayed with what I saw. I thought that we will have a cloudy day ahead of us because of the pile of clouds over a particular place.

But heaven was good. After several minutes, the promise of a beautiful day started to show up. And I was thankful.

I was praying to have a glimpse of the rising sun and to capture its greatness this part of the day. And my prayer had been answered. The clouds simply disappeared from our sight and the morning sun wowed us that day.

And aside from a great sunrise experience, I was also hoping to see some big fishes racing with the ship which I experienced before. But this time, there was no sighting. I simply contented my self in watching the waves made by the ship. Though I was continuously hoping that something might show up along the way. Hoping ...

Vacation Time: Manila Pier - 1

Due to my busy schedule I was not able to update this blog regularly. But as the saying goes, better late than pregnant oppssss, better late than never hehe I guess it's about time to post my latest out of town trip.

I always look forward of going out of town especially if work becomes that demanding. And Christmas break was a perfect opportunity for me to go home to my hometown.

This time I brought along my nephew, Jeff. He was still a baby when his entire family paid a visit some 20+ years ago and he has no recollection of that particular experience.

And as usual, I opted to travel by sea for him to have an experience and at the same time, I can take pictures along the way too.

It was already past 6pm when the ship sailed and as the darkness slowly engulf the remaining light of the day, the port slowly came alive with the lights on its surroundings.

We feast our eyes on every light that we passed along. I can see from the faces of my fellow passengers the delight of the experience, especially from those of the newbies. And after some time, we knew that we were making some progress already because the lights grew dimmer and dimmer.

It signals that we had to take our dinner now and get ready for bed because it will be a long journey ahead and lights will be visible again on the next day.

Getaway-1

It's been a while since I pack my backpack and skip town for another getaway. Work devours most of my time (of course, I have to earn a living). If not working, I spend most of my time watching movies or sleeping. I really don't eat much if I am home and inactive. When someone will invite me for a little trip elsewhere, my spirit rekindles. Yes, I am always looking forward for an out-of-town adventure.

A new and refreshing environment definitely nourishes my spirit. The mere fact that I don't see and experience it everyday awakens my senses. It is a kind of delight that brings excitement to my very soul. And I don't mind being away from home for some time.

The trip need not be expensive. If you are adventurous enough, you don't have to call a travel agency. Actually, it is more fun going out there by yourselves. Of course, you should be free spirited and must be prepared for any kind of adventure along the way. The best adventure starts when you can't see a trail anymore. But we need to be cautious and safeguard ourselves while having fun.

Vacation

A simple moment like this one is priceless. Yet, this can a great prize for a lifetime. Spending a carefree day with the heart of a kid, makes a vacation truly wonderful.

Ang stress daw ang nagdudulot ng matinding sakit at eventually kamatayan sa mga taong sobrang busy sa buhay. Kaya't dapat maglaan ng libreng oras para magbakasyon para matanggal ang stress at makapagrelax. After all, buhay natin ito - dapat nating alagaan at pagyamanin. Kayat kung magbakasyon kayo, isama nyo naman ako para mas masaya. Hehe
