Vacation Time: Boats and Bancas - 4

Passengers would rush from one side to the other especially if we pass along people who rode boats or bancas.

I greatly admire the fishermen who explore the vastness of the sea to earn their living. And even to the point of doing their fishing expeditions to where big ships sail just to increase their catch.

Actually, fishermen riding small bancas don't mind likewise on how far they were from the nearest coast line. Well, the weather was good and it pose no threat to their safety. Anyway, they are experienced swimmer and the sea is already part of their life.

I asked Jeff if it would be okay for him to ride a banca this part of the sea. Little did I know that the sea makes him uncomfortable. He can swim a little but not that good. And he is not confident enough to survive the waters in case something will go wrong. Knock on wood.

And he is not alone. Hehe

Destination: Taal Volcano - 2

We arrived at Talisay proper some minutes past 8 in the morning. It was just another ordinary day for the townfolks here but for us, it would be an adventure that will last a lifetime.

After meeting our contact (Len) and parking the car, she led us to the nearby shore where a boat was waiting for us. The weather was great and there was no sign of rain that day. It was indeed a perfect day for all of us.

We made no haste and we board the boat right away. As expected, the boat was equipped with life jackets in case accidents will happen (we always pray for a safe travel).

Travel time was under 20 minutes. It is always a smooth sailing ride when you travel by water in the morning but during the afternoon, you'll begin experiencing the waves - even in lakes.

While in water, I had a glimpsed of the other side of the volcano (the dead one). I thought this was the part that we were supposed to climb. This part is the visible view in Tagaytay proper and you'll often times see it in postcards or souvenir items. But it was not the main attraction.

Balance

Thank you for bringing balance into my life. The tides of life me toss me up and down, but as long as you are here with me, I will have less worries at all.

Fishermen
