Trying Times-2

What now? What will you do the moment you reach the end of the road? Is it time to give up? Is this the end of your journey? Will you still look forward to seeing the sunrise even in total darkness? Will you still continue living when you know you are dying inside?

So many questions racing in your mind yet answers are like finding stars in the middle of a rainy night. The pain is unending, the suffering is tormenting, the purpose has no essence, and the only way out is to quit.

The lowest of the low has caught up on us and is pulling down even our dimmest hope. What reasons could ever bring us back to life when our very own spirit is on the brink of giving up. On these trying times, we are fighting against ourselves and we can win or lose based on how we call the shot.

Trying Times-1

I had my own share of trying times. And the funny thing about this is caughting you off guard when your world seems in perfect harmony. You just can't imagine the agony, as if all of them are in a hurried downpour at the same time.

It's hard to be in a situation where you feel like all alone, stripped of any kind of hope or consolation. Each passing moment is a never ending torture. The pain and anguish is tormenting your very soul. And no amount of comforting words from friends could ever appease your heart in grief.

Your world is darkened. Your mind is clouded. Your faith will be tested. And you've got nowhere to run. Suddenly, it's a dead end. What now?

A Moment of Solitude-3

And when you experience that wonderful morning, alone in solitude and witnessing the sun slowly rising in the east, it brings you closer to yourself. This is the kind of experience that we seldom encounter. And mind you, it will make you realize a lot of things especially those things you've missed and most probably, ignored.

Self realization is a journey towards acceptance and self healing. We cannot deny the fact that we have so many shortcomings but when we come to the point of accepting our weaknesses and failures, then, we come to terms with ourselves. And when we learn how to accept our limitations, it could be a start of a renewed existence.

A moment of solitude allows us to explore not the world around us but the world within us. It will make us realize so many things and most importantly, it will open our eyes to certain realities and perspective about who we really are and what we are. And when we set foot again to the adventures of life, our every journey now will have a deeper and worthwhile meaning.

A Moment of Solitude-2

They say that whenever you follow your heart, you can never be wrong. But is it wise to follow one's heart in making a tough decision? Or would you contemplate and act based on reasons and options? In most cases, it is really difficult to deliver a sound judgment the moment you step in that situation.

That's why it would be of big help to spend some time alone and ask for some heavenly guidance. We don't have to act and decide in a hurry if we still have doubts. It would be best to find ourselves first and pray for guidance. And when we can't decide after the much needed contemplation? We don't have to hurry.

They say that challenges are laid before us because heaven knows we can hurdle them. And when solutions to problems seem elusive, in His own perfect time, answers will be revealed. Probably, not today but in the coming days. All we have to do is to wait for that one perfect morning where our worries, just like the darkness, will be swept away by a clear and beautiful sunrise.

A Moment of Solitude-1

For no apparent reason, there are times that I would like to spend a quiet time all by my lonesome. It's not that I'm a loner or an introvert but a moment of solitude would definitely mean a lot. Being alone for a moment, I consider it as a precious opportunity to gather my thoughts and recharge my spirit.

Let us face the fact that we need some time out. We cannot afford to be with the crowd at all times. And it would help a lot if we can retreat to our solitude and gain some peace in the process. And when we are all alone, it is such a blissful and a luxurious moment to cherish.

A moment of solitude allows us to buy some time especially when pressures are just around the corner. Being alone for some time allows us to evaluate our thoughts and weigh our options, define our perspective with clearer reasons, and act accordingly based on a guided heart.

Two Kinds of People-3

It is really not that hard for us to see the true colors of the people around us. You simply need to be observant. Challenges and time are essential factors in order for us to eventually rediscover the very nature of the people who surround us.

And what should we do the moment they show their real skins? Just like in politics, keep close those who appreciates you but keep even closer those who are concerned about you. That is again, if you have the stomach. It is often difficult to learn the art of embracing people whom you are not comfortable with. That's why showbiz and politics are closely knitted.

As for me, I simply keep my distance. If the situation calls for a truce, I'll simply deal with them in a civil way. It would be great if we can only choose those who appreciates us and keep away from those who are concerned about us. But one way or the other, it makes life more exciting. After all, we also play these roles.

Two Kinds of People-2

Showing our concern towards a person varies depending on our considerations and motives. Based on experience, I have known some individuals that are actively concerned about you especially if you are in a bad situation. People tend to gossip and pass along unsolicited concerns but they are not that brave in relaying to you what the fuss is all about. And usually, you are the last person to know.

That's why, you have to be very particular about your actions and you have to stand your guard all the time. No matter whether you're good or bad, one time or the other, you will always be tested. You will have a share of the limelight later on. And when you are on that unwanted situation, that's the very instance when you'll know the true colors of the people around you. That's the time you'll know who are appreciative of you and who are concerned about you.

And when you find out later on that the people whom you thought would be there for you and stand by you keep their silence and retreat to the corner of their own self preservation, don't get mad. Just understand the fact that these people are the concerned ones. At least, you were given the chance to know them and they were able to reveal their true colors.

Two Kinds of People-1

I attended a seminar a couple of days ago and our speaker shared her viewpoint regarding the kind of people that co-exist with us. She said that there are only two types of people: the one that appreciates you and the one that is concerned about you.

The former shows how you are being loved and treated with utmost kindness and respect. That irregardless of the circumstances, they are simply there beside you. They show their support in every endeavor that you take. They will comfort and cheer you up when you are down. And they are equally delighted and happy in your moments of triumph.

The latter is more particular with the not so good compliments about you. That in every move and effort you make, they are looking forward seeing you fall over with a bang. And whatever you do, you are always short of their expectations. That's their way of showing how concerned they are about you.

Getaway-3

Having a better perspective helps us to see clearer especially ourselves. Given the every day pressures that we experience, a worthy getaway is always a welcome opportunity for tuning oneself. When our mind is not clouded, only then we can better define our senses and our actions.

Since we are part of a particular group of people, we cannot avoid some indifferences amongst us. And when the pressure is way above our heads, that's the time when things turn ugly. And we don't want to involve ourselves into issues and actions that are worthless. As much as possible we need to preserve the norms in order for us to be at peace with one another and with ourselves.

And when you are given that opportunity to have the much needed break, grab it. Plunge into action. Seize the moment and enjoy. Leave your worries behind. Envigorate your spirit and your wellness. See the other perspective of life and be thankful. After all, it is your life that you are living and you have every reason for a worthy and happy existence.

Getaway-2

Having fun is indeed a delight when you are exploring the world. Deep inside, you feel proud and privileged every time there is an opportunity to be out there and have fun. The common every day existence is now filled with excitement and joy and it really rejuvenates one's spirit.

As you leave the busy streets of the Metro, you will be overwhelmed by the embrace of the countryside. No traffic, no pollution, no noise. It would be such a relief when you can feel the fresh air in your face and you can drown yourself with the fresh air filling your lungs. It is really a free treat for an urban folk to enjoy.

And as you spend a worry-free day with nature, you can't help but to thank this little extravagance. A kind of extravagance that you will like to enjoy every now and then as a reward to thyself. I guess and it is but just right that we need to pamper ourselves with this kind of experience in order to relieve ourselves with the everyday stress in our workplace. This kind of getaway is actually reaching out to our inner self, allowing us to recharge our body and spirit. May be through this experience, we will have better perspective of our own existence.

Getaway-1

It's been a while since I pack my backpack and skip town for another getaway. Work devours most of my time (of course, I have to earn a living). If not working, I spend most of my time watching movies or sleeping. I really don't eat much if I am home and inactive. When someone will invite me for a little trip elsewhere, my spirit rekindles. Yes, I am always looking forward for an out-of-town adventure.

A new and refreshing environment definitely nourishes my spirit. The mere fact that I don't see and experience it everyday awakens my senses. It is a kind of delight that brings excitement to my very soul. And I don't mind being away from home for some time.

The trip need not be expensive. If you are adventurous enough, you don't have to call a travel agency. Actually, it is more fun going out there by yourselves. Of course, you should be free spirited and must be prepared for any kind of adventure along the way. The best adventure starts when you can't see a trail anymore. But we need to be cautious and safeguard ourselves while having fun.
