Watch Tower

We build a watchtower to guard and protect ourselves against any harm that will be inflicted on us. We have to keep our guard all the time for we will never know when the threat will strike. But we also have to consider that the watchtower should also guard us against ourselves. For reasons like initiating the self-destruct process.


Mahirap daw ang sobrang tiwala. Kadalasan, sa sobrang tiwala, naaabuso ito. Kaya kailangang matuto na tayo sa mga nakaraang experiences at dapat maging cautious na tayo sa mga susunod pa.

Limitless

Though I am only one, no one can define the things I could possibly do. I can do this and I can do that. All things are possible because I am tasked to accomplish them within my lifetime and even beyond. So, don't just limit yourself. Explore the world and prove not to others but to yourself that you are worth what you are.

Marami tayong pwedeng magawa at mapatunayan. Lahat ng bagay na ating gagawin ay kailangang simulan sa una at pag nakabwelo na, tuloy tuloy na yan. At dapat sa bawat bagay na ating gagawin, dapat palagi nating iisipin na biniyayaan tayo ng kakayahan para gawin at tapusin ito.

Free Spirit

I am a free spirit who roams the earth. There are no boundaries that restraint my existence. I can go where ever I wanted to. And I can do wonderful things beyond my limitations.

Ang bawat isang nilalang ay merong kakayahang bukod sa kanya lamang ipinagkaloob ng langit. Ito ay isang malaking hamon na tuklasin nya at pagyamanin. At sana magamit sa wasto, sa kung saan ito nararapat

Hope

Why is it that it brings great joy to the spirit for seeing even just a distant light? Is it because we find our way home? Or perhaps we feel that we are not alone anymore?

Mabigyan lang ng kahit kaunting aninag ng pag-asa sa isang hopeless na sitwasyon, pwedeng magbago ang pananaw ng isang tao. Ang importante, huwag na huwag bumitaw. Sabi nga, pag walang kasagutan ngayon, wag mong problemahin. Minsan ang kasagutan ay kusa na lang lumilitaw.

Celebration

There are so many reasons for us to celebrate. And there are so many ways to celebrate them. Even during ordinary times, if we know how to value what we have or what we achieve during that time, it may call for a celebration.

Ang pang-araw-araw nating buhay ay isang selebrasyon. Dapat daw matuto tayong magpahalaga dito. Minsan hindi na natin napapansin na madami pala tayong ipagpapasalamat at ipagdiwang pero ang mga ito ay nakakalampas ng hindi natin nalalaman. Sana kahit sa mga mumunting bagay, matuto tayong magcelebrate.

Eyes of the Beholder

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. No amount of ordinary appearance would ever deceive the eyes of someone who seeks beauty out of it. And once found, it would mean a treasure of a lifetime.

Ang bawat isa sa atin ay meron kanya-kanyang pamantayan kung ano ang maganda. Siguro sa simula, merong naghahanap ng superficial ang dating. Ito yong tipong maglalaway sila pag nirampa mo. Pero ang kagandahan ng isang tao ay hindi nasusukat sa pisikal na anyo lamang at madidiscover natin yon pag matuto tayong magpahalaga sa isang tao.

Blessing

It would be a nice atmosphere spending an afternoon, with your favorite drink on the side, watching the busy world before your eyes. And you would be thankful of the opportunity to see a world in a perspective where others can't see it.

Sa sobrang pagkabusy natin, hindi na raw natin alam ang sarili nating mundo. Sabagay, kanya-kanyang trip nga yan sa mundong ibabaw. Pero masaya pala yong tipong pagmamasdan mo ang paligid mo, yong wala kang iniisip na problema, wala kang masyadong gagawin. At saka mo pala masasabi sa sarili mo na nakapaswerte mo pala sa lahat ng mga biyaya mong natanggap.

Masterpiece

A skyline as great as this one would make you stay that truly, God is wonderful. Imagine, seeing the same skyline throughout the year but it is being painted everyday. And who else can do this marvelous masterpiece?

Kadalasan, mga paintings ang na-aapreciate natin. Pag nakasabit na ang mga ito, saka pa lang nating nakikita ang ganda nila. Pero meron pa lang mga pang-araw-araw na paintings ang hindi natin na-aapreciate. Siguro, busy nga lang tayo.

Friend

Reaching out to someone, especially during his struggling moments, would be the best gesture a friend can offer. By our mere presence, that friend would never feel all alone.

The best talaga pag meron kang friend na hindi lang pang happy moments. At usually malalaman mo yong mga totoo mong mga kaibigan pag ang mundo mo ay magugunaw na. At pag natagpuan mo sila, wag mong ipamigay sa iba.

Missing

Even though how small a particular thing is, when gone, the world seems empty if we learned how to treasure it. Our senses keep on searching for that missing piece because we know we will never be complete without it.

May mga pagkakataon na taken for granted ang treatment natin sa isang tao. Yon bang hindi natin napapahalagahan ang kanyang presensya sa ating buhay. Pero ang masaklap, pag nawala o umalis na sya, saka pa lang natin malalaman na sobrang napakahalaga pala nya sa atin.

Father and Son

A moving representation of the bonding moment of father and son. How many of us were able to experience this kind of moment? Though unspoken, this will always be treasured for a lifetime.


Sarap naman makakita ang ganitong scenario. Malamang "ordinaryo" lang ito sa paningin. Pero pag naalagaan at napagtibay pa ito lalo, siguradong magiging the best ang tandem nyong mag-ama.

Toast

A toast for a wonderful life. A toast for all the blessings. A toast for all good friends. A toast for a brighter tomorrow.


Syempre pag merong toast (hindi ung tinapay ha, hehe), merong celebration. Pero hindi naman kailangang engrande and celebration para magkasiyahan. Minsan nga tamang bonding lang, unting kwentuhan, tawanan, me pinapapak, at maiinum - sapat na para sa kasiyahang walang katulad. Pero syempre unting alalay din, lalo na sa inuman. Tandaan natin na wala pang tumatalo kay San Miguel o mga kampon nito.

Candle

"It is better to light one candle than to stumble in the dark", goes a line in a song. It would be of great consolation if we can be an instrument of hope for our friends who are struggling in their darkest moment. Though we may be aliens to our friends "sufferings", our presence in their troubled life can definitely give a spark of light.


Sabi ng isang friend ko, "Nakita ko ang liwanag sa gitna ng kadiliman." Malalim ang dating. Malamang, one time or the other meron tayong experience na para bang wala ng liwanag na masisilayan o wala ng bukas na darating. Pero, ika nga, life must go on. Lahat ng mga paghihirap at hindi magagandang kaganapan sa ating buhay ay lilipas din.

Relaxing Moment

A nice and quiet environment, fresh air, and totally free from the hustle of the city life. One would definitely value this relaxing moment even for a momentary escape of a busy life in the city.


The best talaga pag meron kang isang lugar na mapupuntahan na presko ang hangin, tahimik ang paligid, at simply ang pamumuhay. Yong tipong makapag unwind ka at makapag let go ng stress. Kayat dapat from time to time, meron kang activity na ganito para naman humaba pa ang buhay mo.

Plant Border

Ordinary things do seem less captivating. That's why, it is always a challenge for all of us to bring out the best in other people to make them special or extraordinary. If we will be able to do this one, most probably, there will be no single soul that will be taken for granted.


Isang simpleng bagay pero kakaiba ang dating. Kaano ba kadalas maranasan natin na ordinaryo ang ating tingin sa isang bagay pero kapag binigyan natin ng importansya at sapat na panahon, nagiging extra-ordinary ito. Malamang kung ganito ang attitude natin, sobrang dami siguro ng extra-ordinary sa mundo.

A Night Scene

Given our busy schedule, how often do we pause and appreciate the beauty of life? Do we belong to a commoner where everything is just a sight and there's nothing to appreciate about it? Well, I hope one time you may give it a try. It would be a good challenge to find something good out of the ordinary.


Sarap palang tumambay minsan. Yong tipong sobrang busy ka tapos bigla mong ititigil ang mundo mo. Nag-iiba pala ang tingin mo sa paligid. (Wag naman yong literal na hilong-hilo ka tapos bigla ka titigil, matutumba ka talaga non, hehe). Mas nagkakaroon ng "deeper meaning and appreciation" ika nga. Try mo minsan.

Waiting

There are times in our lives that we must learn how to wait. In our fast-paced existence, learning how to patiently wait is a virtue. And most probably, during this particular moment, we can see a clearer perspective in our dealings and relationships.

Wow, hanep! Late ka na naman ng isang araw. Baka ang call time ay 11:59pm at dumating ka ng 1:01am. Adik. Haha. Pero dapat naman talaga tayong mahiya sa mga naghihintay sa atin. Kung sila nga nagawa nilang dumating sa takdang oras dapat tayo ganon din. Kawalan daw ng respeto ang hindi pagdating sa tamang oras. Kaya guys, bawal ma-late or else baka magkaroon ka ng tagname na "the late Mr./Ms X." Buhay ka pa, naglalamay na sila. Hehe

Black or White

When I saw this scene, I told myself that I should take a pic of this one. I find this cute. Most probably as look at this pic, there could be several considerations playing in your mind. But just like the lyrics in Michael Jackson's song, "It don't matter if you're black or white."


Part ng pagkakaroon natin ng colonial mentality, mas binibigyan natin ng importansya ang pagiging maputi kesa sa natural nating kulay na mga Pinoy. Tuloy, nawawalan tayo ng sariling identity. Kaya't sangkatutak ang mga commercials na pampaputi kasi napoprogram ang mga utak natin na hindi maganda ang kulay natin, na mas maganda ang maputi, at kung anu ano pang mga dahilan. Sana dumating ang time na magiging proud tayo sa lahing kayumanggi, sa lahing Pinoy.

Friendship

Friendship is WYSIWYG. That is, if we happened to really "know" the friends we have. A couple of important lessons I've learned in friendship are appreciation and respect. At times, we simply take for granted our friends until it is too late to appreciate them. At times, we don't seem to understand our friends but respect should prevail between our differences.


Kung hindi ako nagkakamali, ang sabi ng father ni Nanette Medved (remember her? - tanda ko na talaga, hehe), magpasalamat ka na raw kung sa iyong buong buhay meron kang isa o dalawang tunay na mga kaibigan. I agree. Hindi raw nasusukat sa dami ng kaibigan ang pagkakaroon ng isang tunay na kaibigan. At kadalasang andodoon ang mga tunay na kaibigan sa oras ng mga pagsubok sa ating buhay. Pero sana kung meron man tayong itinuturing na mga tunay na kaibigan, huwag naman nating abusuhin ang kanilang kabaitan. Alam na.

Series

If you have been taking IQ exams, a problem about a series of numbers will always pop out. And at times, we need to spend some time to answer it correctly. It could be like life. A series of events will lead to another and depending on how we address those events, that's the time we will learn some valuable lessons. If we succeed, hurray! If we fail, charge it to experience. So, what's in the series?


Ang buhay daw ay parang life. Minsan me positive, minsan me negative. Minsan me ups, minsan me downs. Pero ang mas mahalaga ay yong natututo tayo in the process. Mahirap din yong paulit-ulit nga ang series, tapos yon at yon pa rin ang mali mo. Kaengotan daw yon pero meron talaga sa ating ganon. Theme song ata ang Garry V hit na "Di Na Natuto". Hehe

Umbrella

Rainy days are here. Better have an umbrella on the side than feel sorry if you are caught in a heavy rain along the way. Don't be shy to bring an umbrella but don't bring a thing like the posted one unless otherwise you want to perform. Hehe


Part na siguro ng culture nating mga Pinoy na pag lalake, iba ang dating pag me dalang payong. Pag maulan, normal lang ang me payong pero taboo ang dating ng lalake na nagpapayong sa ilalim ng matinding sikat ng araw. Di ko pa alam kung merong study na about this sociological thinking and behavior in our society. Hmmm. Makapag request nga sa SWS. Hehe

Meal

Sometimes, we need to pamper ourselves. A lavish feast may be too much but a plate like this one will definitely not hold a guilt in us. So, follow your hunger and feel blessed whenever you have a hearty meal. But then again, everything must be done in moderation or else.


Grabe! Sarap talaga kumain. Diet na lang bukas. Hehe. Minsan kasi me mga cravings tayo at kung pagkain man yon, sige! Hanapin mo ang pagkain na swak sa yo. Para kasi itong reward na pag nakuha mo, talaga namang satisfied ka. Pero dahan-dahan lang kasi baka bigla kang lumubo. Hekhek. Hirap nyan. Hirap pa naman mag-exercise. For the meantime, enjoy the food po.

Blue Water

There are common sights in our everyday existence that we failed to "see". Once captured, only then we do appreciate its beauty. But then, it is a sad reality that this wonderful gift becomes a wasted one due to our own misdeeds. I hope the change can start within ourselves and echo that one to the people dear to us so that we can preserve and protect these precious gifts while they are still around and revive the dying ones.

Sabi nga, ang buhay sa mundong ibabaw ay hiram. Ang mundo ay hindi natin pag-aari kayat nararapat lang na ating protektahan at pagyamanin. Sana magkakaroon tayo ng personal na mithiin na panatilihing maayos, malinis, at kaayaaya ang ating kapaligiran para naman ang mga susunod nating salinlahi ay magkakaroon din ng pagkakataong ma-enjoy kung ano ang meron tayo ngayon.
